CHAPTER 02 · WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU HIT SEND

Four editorial checkpoints. No automated indexing.

Every submission moves through the same desk — the 7 editors and 2 link-check contractors in Amsterdam and Montreal handle it personally. Here is the route.

  1. I.

    Submission received

Your form lands in the editorial inbox within seconds. You'll get a confirmation email with a ticket number — keep it for any follow-up. No account creation, no password, no marketing opt-in.

  2. II.

    Human review

An editor opens every field. We check the destination URL, the description for spam signals, and that the listed content is consistent with the submission category. Average turnaround on this step alone: 6.5 hours.

  3. III.

    Category tagging

The profile gets hand-assigned to one primary and up to two secondary subcategories inside our 42-category taxonomy. Tags drive the Editor's Picks rotation and the weekly subscriber email.

  4. IV.

    Live, then re-checked

Listing goes live same business day. It is then entered into the monthly link-check rotation — first adult index to publish a transparent monthly uptime report. Current 24-month uptime: 98.4% across all profiles.

CLASSIFIEDS ORDER FORM · ISSUE 142

Submit a listing.

Fill in every field. Fields marked with an asterisk are required for review; we will write back within 6.5 hours on average if anything is missing.

By submitting you confirm the listed destination URL is yours to list and contains no content prohibited by the editorial standards.

CHAPTER 04 · PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Six things creators ask before they submit.

How long does approval actually take?

Median is 6.5 hours from the moment the form is submitted. Complex sponsored placements with creative review take closer to one business day. We publish a monthly turnaround figure in the link-check report — the same number, not a marketing version.

What gets a submission rejected?

Three things, consistently: destination URLs that 404 on first check, descriptions pasted from another directory verbatim, and profiles that don't match the selected subcategory. Rejected submissions get a written reason — resubmit with the fix and you're back in the queue.

How do affiliate payouts work?

Affiliates earn on the sponsored and featured tiers only, at 15% of net for direct referrals and 8% for second-tier. Payouts are monthly, on the 15th, via the processor listed in the affiliate onboarding email. The desk handles attribution using the tracker you include in the notes field at submission.

Can I edit my listing once it's live?

Yes. Email the ticket number from your original confirmation to [email protected] with the change. Title and description edits are usually same-day; URL swaps go through a fresh review cycle.

What is the re-review schedule?

Every listing is re-checked monthly as part of the published cadence report. Sponsored and featured placements get an extra re-check at mid-cycle. The 98.4% uptime figure over the past 24 months is published openly on the standards page.

Do I need to send age-verification documents?

No document upload is required at submission. The desk operates on the same 18+ age-gate as the public site. If a destination URL is flagged during review, the editor handling it will write to the contact email before taking any action.

CLOSING NOTICE · ISSUE 142

6.5 hours to live. 4.1 million clicks already sent.

That is the math: the editorial desk turns the form around in an afternoon, and the directory already drives more than four million outbound clicks a year. Submit a listing and you'll be in the next published batch.

Maintained by the same 7-person editorial team since 2014. No pop-unders, no forced redirects, one inline banner — that's the whole ad policy.
